This newly recorded two-disc cast album of Stephen Sondheim’s classic musical accompanies the 2010 Broadway production which stars Catherine Zeta-Jones and Angela Lansbury. A Little Night Music, inspired by Ingmar Bergman's classic film Smiles of A Summer Night, is a bittersweet tale of romantic longing and furtive liaisons unfolding over a single midsummer's evening in the Swedish countryside. This is one of composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim's most admired and best known works, as well as one of his most commercially successful, and features the classic song "Send in the Clowns".
