I Do was one of the hits at this year's Sydney Mardi Gras Queer Screen Film Festival and we're very pleased to be able to offer this just released title at our very special price of $24.99 ($10 less than the recommended retail price)! This is an honest, charming film about a gay guy (handsome out and proud British actor, David W Ross) who is devoted to caring for his sister-in-law and niece. He's prepared to do what it takes to stay in the US for that, even marrying his best girl friend, but when he falls in love with Mano, his committments become hard to juggle... We also have a couple of new dvd releases recently seen on television : the absolutely hilarious Threesome, about what happens when a straight couple and their gay best friend try to put their partying ways behind them to raise a child together, and Please Like Me, starring gay Aussie comedian Josh Thomas.

It's 1952 and the gay inmates of a prison take the local bishop hostage and then enact before him an elaborate drama, intended to confront him with a dark and shameful secret from his youthful past. Mastermind Simon has planned a special performance for the cleric: a reenactment of the days when they were schoolboy friends and when they were both in love with the same handsome boy. This is a tale of love, betrayal and revenge which builds to a moving and devastating climax, and anchored by the intensity of the lovers' feelings for each other against all the odds. The lyrical and surreal atmosphere of the movie is very theatrical (having been adapted from a play) and post-modern, which is in keeping with Canadian queer director John Greyson's constant challenging of the norms of story-telling and film-making. Anyone who has seen his films Zero Patience and Proteus will know and appreciate the poetry, daring, humour, sexiness and subversiveness of this vision. This is a modern queer classic.
