This is an honest, charming film about a gay guy (handsome out and proud British actor, David W Ross) who is devoted to caring for his sister-in-law and niece. He's prepared to do what it takes to stay in the US for that, even marrying his best girl friend, but when he falls in love with Mano, his committments become hard to juggle... We also have a couple of new dvd releases recently seen on television : the absolutely hilarious Threesome, about what happens when a straight couple and their gay best friend try to put their partying ways behind them to raise a child together, and Please Like Me, starring gay Aussie comedian Josh Thomas.

This film is based on H.P. Lovecraft’s novella ‘The Shadow over Innsmouth’, though the screenplay takes a few liberties, including making the lead character gay. Russ is called back from the big city to Rivermouth after the death of his mother to be executor of her estate. While there he meets up with his best friend from school, and sparks fly. But there’s a dark thread running through the reunion, as Russ learns he’s affected by a particularly gruesome form of a family curse. Tori Spelling appears as a townie with a really perverted side.
