''I Do'' DVD
now in-store
at a special price!
I Do was one of the hits at this year's Sydney Mardi Gras Queer Screen Film Festival and we're very pleased to be able to offer this just released title at our very special price of $24.99 ($10 less than the recommended retail price)! This is an honest, charming film about a gay guy (handsome out and proud British actor, David W Ross) who is devoted to caring for his sister-in-law and niece. He's prepared to do what it takes to stay in the US for that, even marrying his best girl friend, but when he falls in love with Mano, his committments become hard to juggle... We also have a couple of new dvd releases recently seen on television : the absolutely hilarious Threesome, about what happens when a straight couple and their gay best friend try to put their partying ways behind them to raise a child together, and Please Like Me, starring gay Aussie comedian Josh Thomas.

Q. Allan Brocka (author and director of the hit films Boy Culture and Eating Out) has come up with a hilariously un-PC animated sitcom which follows the lives of three gay couples -
the titular Rick and Steve, Chuck and Evan, and Dana and Kirsten - as they live in the fictional 'gay ghetto' of West Lahunga Beach in California. Other characters include fag hag Condi Li (who prefers to think of herself as an'alternative lifestyle companion'); interracial lesbian couple Ebony and Ivory who don't want to even know their own baby's gender - they close their eyes when they change diapers - in order to avoid possibly pushing him/her into any stereotypical "gender roles"; porn star Dylan Ram-Brick, and Rick & Steve's occasionally magical cat Pussy, who can talk, but only when she wants to. Some of the themes which are dealt with include gay and lesbian parenting, ageism, swinging, codependence, homophobia and other forms of bigotry, but only in the most in-you-face and funny way.Appealing to fans of South Park and Drawn Together, and featuring voice talents like Peter Paige (from Queer as Folk) and Margaret Cho, this series has gained a cult following. Plus, did we mention that all the characters and sets look like they come out of Lego-land !?
