This is an honest, charming film about a gay guy (handsome out and proud British actor, David W Ross) who is devoted to caring for his sister-in-law and niece. He's prepared to do what it takes to stay in the US for that, even marrying his best girl friend, but when he falls in love with Mano, his committments become hard to juggle... We also have a couple of new dvd releases recently seen on television : the absolutely hilarious Threesome, about what happens when a straight couple and their gay best friend try to put their partying ways behind them to raise a child together, and Please Like Me, starring gay Aussie comedian Josh Thomas.

When an ageing actress, who once appeared in a popular Australian prison drama series, becomes ill, her son Alex deals with the news in a very unexpected way. In order to cope with his mother's sudden mortality, Alex escapes into the fantasy that he is living in the same prison drama series that his mother once appeared in. As Alex retreats further into the fantasy, he transforms fully into a hard-nosed prison officer, whose all-or-nothing personala allows Alex to confront his real-life problems in a way that he was never able to before. But no matter how successfully he handles the demands of fussy customers, bitchy drug addicts and drag queens, his iron-fisted alter ego and triumphant escapism are still no match for thing − his mother! Inspired by the cult TV show, Prisoner Cell Block H, this film features Prisoner stars Jude Kuring and Margot McLennan. Also check out writer/director Timothy Spano's other trash cult favourite, Nancy Nancy.
