This is an honest, charming film about a gay guy (handsome out and proud British actor, David W Ross) who is devoted to caring for his sister-in-law and niece. He's prepared to do what it takes to stay in the US for that, even marrying his best girl friend, but when he falls in love with Mano, his committments become hard to juggle... Alex is a white woman living in New York who's engaged to Dana, a black man. She suspects her Southern family won't approve, so she keeps her relationship a secret when she heads home for her sister Jeannie's wedding. Things are going fine at the wedding until Alex's best gay friend Jonathan accidentally starts a rumor that Alex is a lesbian. Even that seems manageable until Jeannie comes to New York and wants to meet Alex's nonexistent girlfriend. Jonathan convinces Alex to hire a lesbian to act as her girlfriend during Jeannie's visit but none of them are prepared for the sparks that fly between rent-a-dyke Risa and sister Jeannie!
