This beloved film marked Judy Garland's return to movies after a four-year absence and was also director George Cukor's first musical. Norman Maine (James Mason), a movie star whose career is on the wane, meets showgirl Esther Blodgett (Garland) when he drunkenly stumbles into her act one night. A friendship develops, then blossoms into romance before tensions increase as Esther's career takes off while Norman's continues to plummet. This is a 2 Disc Set.
