Vaughn has taken ownership of the family cabin, but it's haunted by memories of his brutal father. He invites his three best friends to join him for a weekend, but turns sullen and resentful when his older brother Trevor shows up as well. The friends drink, gamble, hunt for deer, play ice hockey, and wrestle with some unexpected sexual tension, that boils over into something more.?But when Vaughn's ex, Renee, shows up, long suppressed issues come to a head. This is a gritty and thought provoking film that not only exposes male insecurity and vulnerability, but also explores the varying degrees of male sexual ambiguity. Written by Queer as Folk scriptwriter Michael McLennan.
